HP Pavilion Media Center TV m7690n PC

Personally, I prefer building systems myself, or if I have to buy a system, going from smaller vendors like PC Alchemy, Niveus, Vidabox, etc., since I've always felt you get more attention from those guys since their customers are more important to their success since they're smaller. But, there's something to be said about the big boys, and being able to walk into a store & out with a fully built Media Center PC.

It is a prime choice for the multimedia
enthusiast who wants a powerful system with enough horsepower to edit
and encode video, use Media Center to the fullest, and even play the
latest HD DVD movie discs. The m7690n is a tower desktop PC and is
unapologetic about it. It's aimed at serious videophiles with an
extensive digital video collection who don't want an $8,000 gaming rig
or an A/V-oriented digital entertainment system.
