Lenovo Reveal Their First Home Server – The IdeaCenter D400

Always a good sign for a product group when more large OEMs continue putting out products with it. After HP and Acer, now comes a cube offering from Lenovo. Slick looking box, quite similar to the Acer with the exception of the nicely designed custom software interface to monitor thermals. Still TBD what will make it for the US, as most of the information is based off the Asian version.

 

We Got Served

Having a little dig around the web uncovers additional information from a number of Chinese websites. The D400 was released over in Asia on August 5th, and as you can see from the shots below looks similar in many ways to Acer’s Aspire easyStore Home Server with four hot swappable drive bays housed in a black plastic, cube shaped chassis.
