The Onkyo DV-BD507 Blu-ray player is now shipping Stateside

If you’ve been itching for the latest and greatest blu-ray drive, here you go! Of course, if you are looking for HDMI 1.4 guarantees, you’ll probably want to wait a bit since it’s up in the air what will be upgradeable. And considering this costs $450, it’s not exactly OK for it to become obselete sooner than later.

The European and American-spec’d models seem to be the same. The unit is a Profile 2.0 BD-Live player featuring all the goodies that come along with the HDMI 1.3 spec like Deep Color and x.v Color. Plus, if a 1GB or higher SD card is inserted, the player can play back BonusView material. The MSRP is set at $449, which isn’t that bad for a mid to high-end tier Blu-ray player and should be available now.
