Blu-ray Releases – August 30, 2011

I can’t remember the last time we had so many releases in a week, it’s been a while. Still, not much really jumps out at me. A couple great TV series with Sons of Anarchy and House getting ready for their new seasons. Then there’s the new Children of Corn, what is that, number 25? A couple of good animated films thrown in, and Tango & Cash.

MissingRemote’s Pick of the Week

Ok, so I cheated and picked a collection of movies instead of a single one, but the Coen brothers I feel deserve it. I actually have a couple on this list that I still need to watch, but the titles included are Blood Simple/Fargo/Miller’s Crossing/Raising Arizona. That’s a pretty good mix of movies, with my favorite being Fargo.

    Assuming the transfer to HD

    Assuming the transfer to HD went well, I simply have to go with Tango & Cash.  That was one funny movie.  Is FUBAR in the dictionary yet?

    Cheesy as hell but awesome movie.  I tried to get my son to watch it and and about half way in I’ve got this big child like grin on my face and my son says “Dad, really?  I have to watch the rest of this?”.  I’m getting old.  Sad times.
