McIntosh announced its first all-in-one system

I had to post this as it caught me totally off guard. My former President of a company I used to work with had all sorts of McIntosh gear in his racks, and they’re quite impressive to look at. It’s interesting to see them take a totally different direction with an all-in-one like this….but at $7,500 it is sure to impress.

The audio company has just announced the MXA60, its first complete home audio system. It includes everything you might need to listen to music, including a CD/SACD player, a 75-watt-per-channel stereo amp, a tube preamp, and a pair of loudspeakers. Each component is made with McIntosh’s standards for construction, with all-metal casings and glass front plates.
