Silverstone announces the new Grandia

At only 17 inches in depth but over 7 inches in height, this new offering from Silverstone will not exactly fit in tight spaces but it should fit on your existing shelves. The inclusion of hot swap bays is intriguing and a first on what I’ve seen offered for HTPC cases. Still, these days it’s a bit too big and bulky for my likings…but this will fit everything including a full ATX motherboard and power supply.

The case measures 425 x 182.2 x 436 mm (WxHxD) and weighs 7.85kg, which is quite large and heavy for an HTPC case, but it does support both ATX motherboard and power supply. The specifications include two external 5.25-inch drive bays and three external 3.5-inch bays. Two of the mentioned 3.5-inch bays support hot-swap function for HDDs. In addition to those external bays, the GD03 can also take up to five 3.5-inch hard drives with a vibration dampening system.
