My Movies adds Web service and throws Data Contribution Competition!

My Movies, the most popular and award winning add-on application for Microsoft Media Center adds another important step on its journey towards bringing users the ultimate Movie experience by adding a new Web service and a new Collection Management program.

 

Århus, Denmark, February 1’st 2007 – Brian Binnerup, author of My Movies is proud to announce the release of My Movies 2.20, another big improvement of the, for end-users freely available movie collection program for Microsoft Media Center 2005 and Microsoft Windows Vista Media Center.

With the new release comes a new Collection Management program, with the addition of the My Movies Web service, a combination that allows the users to load movie data by barcodes, disc id’s or by manually searching for titles, and holds the option to contribute missing data, or improve existing data, while receiving contribution points for doing so.

To celebrate the announcement of the new Collection Management program, and the new Web service, My Movies throws a contribution competition over two periods, where gained contribution points can reward the users with some very nice Media Center related prizes. The Collection Management program allow the users to quick and easy add one or movie titles to their collection, and even use their Webcam as a barcode scanner. With batch updating of title, actor or crew data the users can be sure that their collection data are always updated.
