Microsoft seeks patent for PVR-based advertising

Microsoft seeking a patent on PVR advertising does NOT bode well for Media Center users. I have an ugly feeling the SP1 for Vista MCE may include a nasty update that I won't care for. The age old battle continues! The consumer finds away to avoid a big business to be paid.. lawsuits follow… several years later they adapt to a new business model.

show tonight, or a new series you might want to watch that premieres
tomorrow. A retail store chain might have a sale through the end of
this weekend. But if you record a program this afternoon and forget to
hit the skip button when the commercials come up as you watch it next
