MSN Remote Record for Windows Vista

There is a reason that Chris won best blog in this year's Media Center awards, it's because he is always on top of the latest and greatest news from Vista. This time around he has the scoop on MSN Remote Record being released for Vista MCE. For those of you who don't know, Remote Record allows you to find and schedule programs via the 'net.

From the article:

  • A Windows Live ID (Passport).  If you don’t already have one, you can sign up for free on http://www.passport.net.
  • A Windows Vista Home Premium or Ultimate edition PC with TV tuner.  Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 is also still supported.
  • An “always on” Internet connection.

Chris also has scoop on a ffdshow front end for Vista MCE. Don't get to excited, you won't get ffdshow support for mpeg2, however, you are able to use it as an MPEG4 CODEC.
