Blu-Ray News
A couple of tidbits from the Blu-ray world today. First up, Sony has released a patch for its firs PC drive that will allow it to playback BD movies.
Second up, HDBlog lets us know that BenQ is shipping its Blu-ray disc recorder to Japan right now. The retail price is expected to be around $760.
In the rush to get these players out the door, both camps have put out pretty cruddy equipment. Really, how does a Blu-ray make it out the door and not be able to play back its own media. I think both camps needed to wait a quarter or to before releasing their first generation players.
