CableCard: Velocity Micro Does It Right
With HP off and on with their CableCard support, it seems as though Velocity Micro is the only outfit in town willing to get it right. Although I don’t agree with their case choice, they are now offering a $1600 single CC tuner system. Its not ideal, but it does come with a couple of gigs of ram and a relatively speedy processor. However, a dual tuner system with a Blu-ray burner will still run you $2600 dollars. If you are looking to get into CableCard, this appears to be the only game in town backed by great service.
