QAM in MCE

SiliconDust has finally released beta drivers for the HDHomeRun to get QAM working in MCE. It is a bit of a cludge right now because MCE does not support QAM EPG. You have to map the OTA channels you get in the area to the QAM tuner channels so you can get the EPG information needed. There is a lot more information then what I gave here, I encourage you to read both sets of forums before proceeding.

2) Run a channel scan

Start by running a full channel scan using the CLI version of hdhomerun_config… open a cmd prompt and run:
cd "C:\Program Files\Silicondust\HDHomeRun"
hdhomerun_config FFFFFFFF scan /tuner0 channels.txt

The output will also be logged to channels.txt

Then run the HDHomeRun Config GUI (in the start menu).
This will allow you to view the different TV programs available.

The CLI scan is good for catching every possible channel.
The GUI is good for testing each channel in VLC.
