FCC closes loophole keeping HD off FiOS

Is this thing on?  Hehe… my 1st official news post.  Let’s see if I can’t mess this up.  It’s good to be the king.  No, not me!  That’s what Cablevision has been shouting at Verizon for a while now, touting their "exclusivity" to HD regional sports content.  Well, thankfully, the FCC has finally come to the rescue and all you NY area FiOS subscribers will hopefully start seeing HD regional sports being
offered to you!

Ars Technica

In July of 2009 Verizon filed a program access complaint with the FCC charging that Cablevision "continuously has denied" Verizon access under any terms to the HD versions of its regional sports programming in the New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut area. We’re talking big team stuff here, including the New York Knicks and New York Rangers (not to mention the New Jersey Devils).
