Apple Reportedly Pushing for $1 TV Shows in iTunes

This just makes sense for everyone involved, and you have to think if Apple could make more of a business out of TV download services that they might invest more in the rather bland AppleTV unit. $1 has been shown to be a super easy amount to digest, and considering your cable bill is probably around $70-100, you would have to buy a LOT of $1 shows to even come close to that amount. I approve.

This rumor comes from the Financial Times, a reputable source who’s previously examined Apple’s relationship with the networks, and it makes sense to us: Video is not like audio, in that you don’t often watch multiple times, so its value is significantly less over time than music. Apple is apparently telling the networks that lowering the prices to a buck would increase sales, thereby making up for any loss in revenue they’d see from the cut.
