Amazon leaks price, date of first Windows Home Server box

Not sure why I continue to cover Windows Home Server news, after all they kind of neglected MCE users. Anyone think that Microsoft needs to make another push in the MCE area? At any rate, if you are in the market, HP will be selling a 1.8 GHz Sempron based server with a couple of different hard drive options. Bad MCE feelings aside, I think this is a great product and I will be outfitting my network with one.

Both servers will be powered by a 1.8-GHz Sempron processor from Advanced Micro Devices Inc., and come bundled with HP’s Photo Webshare software, an add-on to Windows Home Server (WHS) that builds a photo-sharing Web site and serves it from the MediaSmart box. None of the for-sales listings spelled out the amount of memory in the servers, however.
