Cameron Says ‘Avatar’ DVD, Blu-ray Will Not Have ‘Crap’

Now this is refreshing to hear. Then again, it’s slightly annoying that the initial version is going to released without any bonus features–there will be a code in the movie to access bonus features online, but still, for the price of movies these should be included even if it requires additional discs IMO.

In addition to those pesky trailers between fans and the start of the film, 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment will include only the film and no bonus features on both the initial DVD and Blu-ray releases. Cameron said the releases, especially the Blu-ray, lack bonuses in order to utilize all of the discs’ bitrate for the film’s picture and sound.
