HomeSeer’s New HSM100™ Z-Wave® Multi-Sensor

HomeSeer Technologies release its new HSM100
Z-Wave multi-sensor. The new device is designed to sense motion,
temperature and light and home owners can use the HSM100 to control up
to 4 other Z-Wave devices directly. Those with HomeSeer-equipped homes
can also use the HSM100 to trigger more complex automation events for
whole house control of Z-Wave and non Z-Wave automation products.

“If our new HSM100 were only a motion sensor, it would rank among the
best available. However, the addition of temperature and light sensors
makes this a truly unique and versatile device”, stated Mark Colegrove,
HomeSeer’s sales director. “With HomeSeer, information from each sensor
may be used independently or in combination. The light sensor can
prevent motion from lighting a room that is already well-lit. The
temperature sensor can be used in areas of concern that aren’t already
monitored by thermostat.”


Like other Z-Wave products, the HSM is completely wireless.
The unit is based on the latest 300 series Z-Wave chip technology and
offers outstanding performance. A built-in battery monitor may be
programmed to alert HomeSeer users by email, phone or voice
announcement when the battery needs to be changed.

HSM100 is designed to work seamlessly with Z-Wave products from
industry leaders such as Cooper®, Leviton®, Intermatic®, Monster Cable®
and ACT®.

HSM100 is slated to begin shipping in July, 2007.
