An Attempt to Revive the AMD LIVE Program

AMD hopes to breathe new life into the Live campaign and have announced initiatives with several partners to get things going. Part of the program is to allow users to create custom channels and broadcast them through the home. With no examples of the technology in the worls, I remain skeptical but hope to see something materialize sooner then later.

Informitv reports that AMD still hopes to bring the PC closer to the TV with its new "Active TV" initiative. The basic idea is to enable consumers to view their digital media on their television more easily. Apple TV aims to do essentially the same thing, with a simple and intuitive remote control that doesn't require a detailed operations manual.
