Kiosk Movie Rental Direct to USB Sticks

Now here’s an interesting concept I have zero faith in actually succeeding. First off, how big a thumb drive do you think you’d need here, at least 1gb? Then, how confident do you think studios would be with the copy protection on said USB drive. But hey, worth a shot, right?

    Unless it was an option on the RedBox machine I don’t see it being accepted. The RedBox machine is slow as it is, throw in the wait of people downloading a 15 – 30Gig 1080P video to a USB drive would take forever. 

    Maybe if USB3 64Gb sticks were cheap enough so you could at least get a few movies on one stick. Nah I don’t see it happening. Streaming is where it is at.

    I wouldn’t put my drive in a strange machine and then put it in my own.  Sounds dangerous.

    Did anybody look at their website?? They’ve got some crazy machines.  An iPod vending machine??
