How do you make a movie with horrible acting and a terrible script (though, the premise had promise) succeed? Add lots of T&A! Then go ballistic when it gets saddled with the dreaded NC-17 rating and it bombs big time at the box office.

Yep, I remember getting carded to go see this thing on opening night at the theater. That was the first and only time I had ever been carded to see a movie. The brilliance of the movie is definitely in the acting and dialogue.

you guys are too funny! I’ve still to this day never seen more than 5 mins of that movie, yet oddly enough my last stay in Vegas at Planet Hollywood i got a room upgrade, and the room had a theme…this theme…was Showgirls the movie. 🙂 I felt unworthy of being there. Maybe when Netflix gets it streaming.

The Mist
Here’s another $7.99 deal: The Mist.
This BD is a great deal. It’s a Frank Darabont (Shawshank Redemption, Green Mile, AMC’s The Walking Dead) film of another Stephen King story. It’s got B&W and Color versions of the film and they really are like watching two different movies in a sense.
