The Future of Television and HDTV
This is an interesting read on how tv came to be where it is today and where it is headed in times to come.
Sure, we’ve only recently kissed off CRTs after suddenly realizing they
suck power like black holes suck matter. And true, the more fortunate
of us are hedonistically enjoying our 50-inch plasmas and LCD HDTV sets,
confident we won’t need or want another television for the next decade
or more. But, as history has proven time and time again, the Next Great
Thing is already well into its development cycle, even as we’re just
starting to get settled in with current technological standards.
