Senate Expected to Pass Bill to Delay Digital Transition
I think this is a mistake. A few more months just means that the people who aren’t ready will have a few more months to procrastinate. They won’t be any more ready by the new deadline.
To add to the confusion they are making this an option for brodcasters not a mandate. So that means that you will have these people calling up their local station after Feburary complaining that I can get my other channels but not yours.
It seems that Obama is going to get his wish with reports coming in that the Senate is on the verge of passing a bill
that would postpone the transition until June. If the bill fails to be
passed all stations in America will have to turn off analog broadcasts
and move to all digital broadcasts in February.
