HTPC Tip Of The Day: Niveus Network Remote

A few of you may have noticed that Niveus has released their Media Center Companion. With that, I decided to devote a Tip Of The Day to this fine and free piece of software. The Media Center Companion acts as a remote control that works on any Windows clients. That is what ever you do on the Media Center companion will affect your server. I see myself using this on my laptop to control the music. It sure beats reaching for the remote.

Of course, the real value here is controlling the TV portion. Perhaps this is to test the waters and eventually release a full version of their software?  Please?
