Sling Media to Offer Users Broadband Speed Boost and Integrate Ads

Not sure quite how this would work, but quite interesting. Think your entire speed would improve, or would they somehow filter it so only Sling traffic would get the speed boost?

Later this year users will get a virtual button added to their PC and cell phone software that "will boost home broadband service speed" for better video quality while streaming content remotely. Sling tells Reuters, "A deal with Boston, Massachusetts-based GetConnected Inc. will let Sling users upgrade their broadband services some time later this year, Krikorian said. GetConnected has relationships with a number of Internet providers, including Comcast and Time Warner Cable Inc."
