Hollywood fights ‘rent, rip and return’ software
*sigh*…here we go again. I don’t understand them…rather than embrace it and make some money off it, they just shoot down any legitimate attempts..even though anyone with half a computer knows what AnyDVD is.
On Friday, industry lawyers urged a federal judge to bar RealNetworks
Inc. from selling software that allows consumers to copy their DVDs to
computer hard drives, arguing that the Seattle-based company’s product
is an illegal pirating tool.
