How to Choose the Right HDMI Cable

Generally my advice to this question is to head over to an e-tailer such as monoprice or Blue Jeans and buy from them. However, for longer distances you want to ensure your cable will hold up. CEPro takes the easy way out and doesn’t actually recommend a cable but they do give sound advice.

When dealing with longer cables, it’s important to understand that HDMI signals might not make it to the other end on their own. The cables are comprised of 19 relatively high-gauge conductors, which are terrific at transmitting a lot of information very quickly, but not without elevated capacitance at distance.
