Are DVDs Nearing the End?
I think we are 10+ years away from doing away with hard media. Mainly because we are that far away from the infrastructure to handle that much data over the Internet and there are way to many players in the game to deliver content. Do I buy a Hulu box, Netflix box, get my movies via FIOS or Comcast.
Still, an increase in streaming video makes sense when subscribers can instantly watch videos from their computer, Xbox 360, set-top boxes and broadband-enabled HDTVs. After all, the convenience beats a few days of waiting and multiple trips to the mailbox.
