Microsoft quietly combines TV efforts

It was always pretty obvious that major departments in MS did not communicate. It never made sense to me, nor our readers, why departments that were so closely related never communicated. That recently changed here in October according to news.com.com with the combining of the IPTV department, HD-DVD and Media Center group. Any mention of Xbox 360 in there? Of course not. It looks like the 360 will still be Media Center’s biggest competitor.

Media Center will have its biggest impact when all departments start to work together AND they listen to the consumer.
