SageTV HD Media Extender
Some people are awaiting the V2 extenders from MS, another group of rabid TV fans are awaiting Sage’s next gen extenders. All we had to work on from Sage previosly was their demo unit from CES but they have released abit more information to keep us drooling. You can expect the HD extender to hit mid-November, and for it to have HDMI, H.264 decoding, 1080p output 🙂 and animations. It looks like Sage has a sexy extender up its sleeves.

Yes!!! Yes!!! Yes!!!
Q: When will it be available?
The target for release is mid-November, in plenty of time for holiday purchasing and gift giving.
Q: Is it the same box from CES?
The box will not be the same as the one we demoed at CES; it’s better.
Q: What makes it better than the one from CES? (I’m predicting this will be asked)
-HDMI output instead of DVI
-1080p upscaled output
-H.264 decoding (bitstream requirements will be announced later)
-Animations…just like the ones mentioned here:
