So I found the below versions on my webserver but I know I have newer ones available from 2016. I need to setup a Windows PC to build it if anyone is interested in a newer build

      x86: https://www.yammm.net/get/yammm_setup_w7_13_10_28_1336.exe

      x64: https://www.yammm.net/get/yammm_setup_w8_13_10_26_0827.exe

I’ll need to see if I can scrape together a W8 box.

I’ll check versions when home. Yes movies details were working last I checked but the way the native Movie Library works is that the metadata has to be accurate enough to allow WMC to match against their provider otherwise it won’t show that level of detail. Since MS switched providers it may no longer work.

I’ll see if I can find a W8.1 license and test.

First of all: thank you very much for this useful little thing amongst the useless crap the world is blistered with. 🙂 Unfortunately i’ve got an issue with the language of the cover art. The information gathered from IMDB is in english, while the locale is set to german. Not a big thing, but my wife would love german titles, if possible. Any ideas?

          Thanks in advance

This is done in my current test version. I’m in the middle of doing a private test. When complete it will go to beta and then Github.  I don’t have an accurate ETA (Need to fix my server first for testing)

Make a forum post here or a post a link. Really its cool, the more choices for the community the better.

Thanks! Definitely a bug. Also mixed with tmdb changing their image url. Yammm only downloads this at the start of the service.  I’ll change it so if it downloads the config from tmdb if there is an error downloading artwork.

I’ll be releasing a build w/ better install checks, logging, Media Browser support and this fix tonight.

Next up is TV series and open source.

Sorry I missed your post. If you locale is French then your metadata will be too. I’ll expose an option override.

TV Series is definitley coming. I”m trying to make it an Xmas release but not making it a promise.

I will release an updated installer today that should remove some people’s issues.  After I do that I’ll make the installer easier to find.

The 360 is the only one that shows the UI.  It has some bugs and is a bit slower in Windows 8.1.

Do you use Extenders? If so, Windows 7. Otherwise I’d go with Windows 8.1

You can add some decent remote friendly metro apps to your Start Menus strip for more modermrecent 10-ft experience like Netflix, Hulu, etc. Some take a bit of work to make remote friendly but nothing too crazy.

Thanks for this software – I have been using it for a couple of years and it’s great!

My HTPC is running w7sp1 64 bit and the current build of Yammm. It updates a movie library on a network drive. I allow it to put itself to sleep after 30 mins of inactivity. On reawakening, the Yammm service doesn’t seem to recover properly. It fails to update new movies added to the library. It also stops the pc from going to sleep again. This is fixed if I restart the service, but that is not feasible (unless it can be automated?).

Hmmmm…Any event logs? I’ll try to reproduce but after my next build goes out. I’ve been quiet last few weeks working on it.  I’ll be testing this week.

Even though I have been using Yammm for a few years, I couldn’t find the update til now. Looks good. I want to thank you for doing this.

My fault. After Media Browser and TV Support are finished and available I’ll make it easier to get.

It is run via ehtray and scheduled tasks.  ehtray will be re-enabled everytime you run ehshell (though there is a registry key to disable that)

Any chance you’d compile a version for Windows XP (Windoes Home Sevrer) ?

I can look at this tomorrow. Need to see what the pre-reqs for the Windows Installer is…its been a few years 🙂
