June 22nd Blu-ray Releases

Last week treated us to a lot of good offerings, new and old. This week is decent as well. For starters, Death Race 2000 is an entertaining oldie but goodie featuring the late, great David Carradine…the pre-Jason Statham version. She’s Out Of My League had such potential, but I found it underwhelming to say the least, although still worth a watch. I promise you I will not watch Remember Me, but Twilight fans I’m sure will. Pick of the week is a rather simple one for the Blu-ray category…

MissingRemote’s Pick of the Week

Green
Zone
  **

The action of Green Zone seems eerily similar to the Bourne trilogy films (it is the Director from Supremacy after all), but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Matt Damon leads a team in search of WMDs in Iraq, and of course there’s lot of action and explosions to satisfy your theater’s hunger. I haven’t seen this yet, so my opinion is going strictly on the reviews I have read of the film which have been positive.

Note:  Warner Brothers,Universal and Fox titles which  have the
30-day Netflix/Redbox rental window imposed on them are noted with ** next to the title.
