Drobo announces the Drobo S

Drobo has made a name for themselves with their small NAS-like devices, and are continuing their line of products with a professional and enterprise devices announced today. The Drobo S starts at an MSRP of $799 and includes the following features:

    for professionals and small offices
  • Best-in-class performance that is up
    to 50% faster than current Drobo
  • eSATA, FireWire 800, and USB 2.0
    connection options
  • Five (5) drive bays for up to 10TB
  • Single or dual-drive redundancy
  • Automated storage that manages
    and heals itself
  • Continuous expansion as larger
    drives become available

 

  

Also announced is the Drobo Elite, which continues up the price scale with even larger features and drive support, maxing out at 8 drives for $5,899 MSRP…may the begging for review units begin!
