Hulu to offer Subscription Service; No Details Yet

Uh-oh. I doubt this actually surprises anyone given the past 12 months with Hulu and the issues finally leading to their release of Hulu Desktop app. Now that they have lots of people using it, now they can convince those people to fork over some dough. Which isn’t a terrible idea, and might be worth it considering my comcast bill is $25 internet, and $80 cable, I could save some serious coin.

“I think a free model is a very difficult way to capture the value of our content. I think what we need to do is deliver that content to consumers in a way where they will appreciate the value,” Carey said. “Hulu concurs with that, it needs to evolve to have a meaningful subscription model as part of its business.”
