Data Corruption Bug – List of Potential Applications Affected Grows

As I delve in WHS more and more, you can be sure you will see more news from WHS. One that caught my eye is the data corrpution bug that can affect a lot of different programs. We Got Server has the list and it is quite scary to see alot of Microsoft’s programs on that list.

I hope they find a resolution quickly. WHS is a great product and this is doing nothing to help this fledgling OS. No need to pull the plug yet, just do your data manipulation on another computer and copy it back. I am glad my tagging efforts didn’t destroy my music library :).

So, to put this in perspective, the list of potential applications affected is growing. That is very worrying, particularly given the prevalence of some of the applications – iTunes, Excel, WMP11 etc.. Microsoft has not yet reproduced the issue on some of these applications but also they’ve not yet been discounted, so at any point, an application may move from the reported list to the proven list.
