NBC embracing P2P… sorta

Why did it take a major network *this* long to figure out that they can make money off of people downloading TV shows? Crippling and 1984-esque DRM aside, I really like this idea and I hope it takes off.

NBC.com today announced the launch of its new service, "NBC Direct," which will allow users to download and view NBC’s popular primetime and late-night entertainment programming on their desktops for up to one week after broadcast.
