Nothing revolutionary here–love the remote, hate the lack of Hulu. We’re looking to get our very own Boxee Box soon and provide an in depth look, but for now enjoy C|Net’s opinion on it. Basic apps like Netflix, Vudu, and Hulu Plus are promised soon, but not available yet; content holders like Hulu are blocking Boxee’s browser; double-sided remote has […]
Read moreI wonder if the new AppleTV inspired this? I doubt it, but you have to appreciate the fact of Yahoo! taking a 30% cut in sales. I think the widgets are pretty cool, but am curious to see how this maps out. Applications currently offered for Connected TV sets are given away free. The programs can generate money from users […]
Read moreGuess this is the day for reviews. I wonder if the extra 5 inches will satisfy someone like Swoon, or if it’s still too small? This one is even more affordable, and an LCD, just under $1500. Looks pretty slick. With a high quality HD signal, the video performance was consistently excellent. Vivid and natural come to mind. The quality […]

Read moreIt’s almost like Brent knew about the hot deal we posted and created this great guide on using the HD-PVR with SageTV. I sure hope SageTV gets CableCard support sooner than later…although you satellite users will still need this method though. But still… Want to record any channel from your Cable or Satellite TV provider? Better yet, want to be […]
Read moreI have to admit, the thought of tossing 4 of these into my WHS has happened more than once…just the ability to get almost 12tb of storage space from only 4 drives is darned impressive. Although the price is now $260 per, you know the drive is quick to go down if you’re patient. On the surface, the new 3TB […]
Read moreHere’s a review on a pretty nifty 50″ plasma from Samsung, who seem to have a million TV’s on the market (have you been to Best Buy lately?). But nonetheless, they provide one for everyone’s needs, in this case a 3D TV for less than $2000 is pretty solid deal. Although, no glasses included…pretty weak. For anyone looking to jump […]

Read moreSo there’s a bit of sarcasm in the title, but what did this guy expect? He was editing their movies, taking out “bad” stuff, and then selling the DVD-R with zero copy protection. Whatever happened to parents just not letting their kids watch movies they weren’t old enough for? Would you really want your 8-year old to watch a non-bloody […]
Read moreInteresting news from Hulu. One has to believe that they simply took their $7.99 cue from Netflix–surely if people had the option of Netflix (Movies+TV) for $7.99 or Hulu Plus for $10, Netflix was going to dominate. That being said, I’m never excited to see yet another monthly fee subscription. Think they can both co-exist? I am happy to announce […]
