Petition to add Dolby Vision and HDR10+ to Xbox One
I’ve mentioned that I bought our Xbox One S primarily as an UltraHD Blu-ray player, so this petition to add Dolby Vision and HDR10+ to the platform is a great way for Microsoft to add more value to the device – as well as demonstrate the benefit of choosing something that will receive updates and evolve over time. Personally, I’d even be willing to buy the feature from the store since there will be additional licensing cost associated with Dolby Vision.
A petition has been started at change.org asking Microsoft to add support for the Dolby Vision and HDR10+ high dynamic range formats to the Xbox One X – a move which the petitioners say would make it ‘the true media powerhouse MS is advertising it to be’.
