Seagate to release a 3tb Drive?

This is from The Register, so take it with a grain of salt…but this kinda makes sense. They couldn’t be stuck at 2tb forever right?

According to people familiar with the company’s plans, a 3TB Constellation ES drive with a 6Gbit/s SAS interface will arrive later this year. The Constellation ES is a replacement for the Barracuda ES and is, Seagate says, an enterprise class drive, currently maxing out at 2TB, and spinning at 7,200rpm. There is a 2.5-inch version which tops out at 500GB capacity.
