Monaco 5.1 WiSA Wireless Home Audio System Announced

Effortless surround sound, well as long as you have an AC outlet nearby. That’s the promise of WiSA, and it’s gotten much easier with devices like Axiim’s LINK because you don’t even need a receiver. Now there’s a $900 5.1 THX certified tuned (eh?) system entering the market to fill in the previous gap between budget and high-end.

SAN JOSE, CA (November 14, 2019) — WiSA® LLC, the Wireless Speaker Audio Association, founded by Summit Wireless Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: WISA), today announced the launch of the Tuned by THX™ Monaco 5.1 Immersive Wireless Home Audio System™ from Platin. The product is the result of a broader technology partnership between THX Ltd., WiSA and Summit Wireless Technologies to develop modules and certifications for Summit Wireless customers and partners with an emphasis on high-resolution home entertainment.

The Monaco 5.1 Immersive Wireless Home Audio System delivers immersive, theater-quality experiences through the widely adopted WiSA audio standard, as well as its Tuned by THX calibrations that maximize the system’s audio performance. The speaker system includes the WiSA Transmitter™, a wireless USB transmitter that connects with any WiSA Ready™* 2019 LG OLED or NanoCell TV.  For those who want more audio sources and better control over their audio, Axiim’s LINK USB Wireless Audio Transmitter (sold separately) provides users with enhanced sound EQ and volume management on all WiSA Ready sources. Additionally, the LINK connects to Xbox One systems (all models), Windows 10 PCs and Macs and allows these sources to easily work with any WiSA Certified speaker. The Monaco 5.1 Immersive Wireless Home Audio System is available now at Amazon for $899.99.

“WiSA has set the standard to enable low-latency, high-resolution, multi-channel audio that advances the capability of traditional wireless technologies at new, lower price points,” stated Peter Vasay, general manager and senior vice president of home products, THX Ltd. “Our skilled acoustic engineers carefully tuned and calibrated the Monaco 5.1 System to provide a great experience, whether watching the latest blockbuster or listening to your favorite playlist.”

Had to go full frame replacement (got a Giant Revolt frame). Old frame cracked where the front DR mounts. Between that and the inner aluminum support tube, could repair that frame. Throw in the fact that I need new pedals (15 yr old Time ATAC are getting squeaky and loose) and some other stuff.
