COROS Launches VERTIX GPS Adventure Watch
Aside from the fantastically orange “Fire Dragon” SKU, the COROS VERTIX watch has a slew of very nice features/sensors. Including: heart rate, oximeter, altimeter, accelerometer, compass, gyroscope, and thermometer. As well as 45 (!) days of battery life, as long as you stay off the GPS (which is “only” 60 hours), & BTLE (phone connectivity) / ANT+ (sensors). It also supports “HR Broadcast”; so you can use it as a heart rate sensor for other devices. Which is a feature sorely missing from my current wearable…
All in, the $599/$699 adventure watch, looks like a worth competitor to the recently announced watches from Garmin both in features and 76g (claimed weight) form factor.
