Sony hoping to improve PS3 upscaling 30 – 40%

If you’ve got a PS3, it sounds like the next update might have nice improvements in video quality for upscaled tv and DVDs. They also mention a rumor that you won’t need to leave your PS3 on at all times (it sounds like you can turn it on remotely, maybe like Wake-On-Lan?).
