I have known some people to set their reciever to a specific volume level and then use MC to control volume sent to the reciever.

Though I don’t know what happens when you shift to material with varying volume levels like those stupid commercials.

The thing abouf Flash Forward was that it had finally gotten really good. I stuck with it through the rough half of the first season, but by the end of the second… I was genuinely hooked.

I really enjoyed the write up. And I believe I will step through it when I get home tonight just to recalibrate.

Good work, and I do look forward to part II.

Wow. I should say that you are indeed a tough critic. I was more happy with the off axis viewing of any LCD by comparison to my old SXRD or any DLP I had encountered.

Many of the new edge-lit LED TV’s do have issue from edges IMHO. But at the same time the panel lit have their own inconsistancies.

I am happy with my 55″ Samsung LCD thus far, if I could only reduce the glare a bit more.

I am looking hard at the new COD, but not so much at MOH.

The video cards (ati 4850 HDMI) while getting better are still not quite there when comparing to a video chip in a console unit even after extensive calibration..

Really? I honestly have not been able to see much difference between the PC Graphics card and a dedicated unit. Though I dont have a unit to compare side by side.
