iSonic Ultrasonic Cleaner P4820-WPB
The $80 iSonic Ultrasonic Cleaner, model P4820-WPB, makes cleaning bicycle drive rain parts, and I imagine a lot of other nasty things, much easier. It is totally a luxury, as you can certainly get the same results by hand, but not without a lot more effort, and a lot more mess. I love how easy it was, and how clean/quiet the chain is now. Just takes a bit of Simple Green Pro HD, water, and some patience.
Pro:
- Good value for money ($80)
- Does a great job
Con:
- Would be nice if duration longer than 480 seconds were supported
- Heating water takes a LONG time (use really hot tap water instead)

Finally picked this up. Have to Tour of the Battenkill coming up in a few weeks and with all the rain, bike needs a little TLC.
Let me know how you get on with it. I’m guessing you’re probably going to work it harder, I only have road grime to deal with :).
Just measured, and my chain is need of replacement and the cassette is also pretty old, so I’ll be swapping out to new parts this weekend. It may be a few weeks (depending on weather/temperature).
