Missing Remote is going to CES, what do you want to see?
It is almost that time of year again when some of us from Missing Remote make the sacrifice to bear the terrible location, all the new technology and awesome toys to report on what matters to you. So our question to you is, what do you want to see? Where do you want us to visit? Is there any company/product you are looking forward to hearing about?
We want to know because we are going there for you. We already started getting press conference invites and we are setting our calendar appointments for some great 1 on 1 meetings, but maybe we missed something. Before CES starts on Tuesday, January 7th, 2014 we have a whole day of Press conferences from the big names and some smaller ones that want to be the next big one. Check out the link below for the press event schedule and let us know what you would like us to try to get to see. This is not a for sure thing that we will have time or will be able to get into one of the press events but we will try.

I don’t know if there are any booths showing off SteamOS this year(either from Valve directly or 3rd party implementations), but if there are, it’s one thing that’s got me curious about the furture of living room PCs.

Looks like there should be a few things on SteamOS. http://www.theinquirer.net/inquirer/news/2309434/xbox-one-and-ps4-get-a-steam-os-rival got some info published today and full details are due out at CES. The gaming aspect of it seems pretty straight forward, I’m curious about how the media center functions of it all will work.

I heard about the steamOS stuff today too.. My first thought of that was wonder if it would work with Media Center or media files.. I will ask some questions.

I’d love to hear what the Ceton guys are doing now that they abandoned Andriod on the Echo. Since that was hardware related, I’m hoping they take Android to revive the Q platform idea, but in a non-WMC form. I need something awesome to replace my WMC! Apparently it’s not XBone 😉

-Google: (are they there?) what are they doing with SageTV?
-LG: what are they doing with licensed WebOS?
-Intel: moot point now, but see where they were heading with OnCue

If you see any 4k passive 3D displays there, I’m curious how noticible the interlacing lines are vs the current 1080p sets. And how the blacks on the new OLED sets look vs plasma.
