OK. I was able to create the following WTV file from a HP Colossus TS file with todvrms:
todvrms Z:\Work\ShortHPCTest.TS Z:\Work\ShortHPCTest.wtv -allstreams -wtv -v
WMC sees the file in my Recorded TV directory (and even extracts a thumbnail), but I get a “decoder error” whenever I try to play it. WPM plays the file fine. I’ve tested on multiple machines (32 & 64 bit)
Does this file play for anyone else out there in WMC and if so, what did you do? I’d prefer not to blindly dive into Windows Codec hell and break everything else on the box.
