pretty sweet. what’re the requirements to use the “upgrade” licenses versus a full one? Just have to insert a previous DVD at some point?

No. I actually bought the pack way back when it debuted. It is the same as any other upgrade retail license. So long as you own another Win7, Vista or XP license, you’re entitled to upgrade. You can go in-place or clean install depending on the circumstances. You can even install to a virgin partition (without a pre-existing installation) so long as you follow a few steps.

I noticed in today’s San Diego Fry’s ad that you can also purchase the Family Pack for $99. I’m not sure if that’s good at all Fry’s locations though.
