YAC. Hmm, could that be the issue. A very outdated piece of software?
For what its worth, a test call succeeds.

Thanks for looking out Mike. I had a heck of a time setting up my WHS2011. I had to replace a power supply during the process but otherwise things went smooth but time consuming. Aside from my lack of caller ID, antivirus is my only hole left to fill. Now that I have some time (though not much) I can investigate AV software. I stuck with avast 4 in V1 and I’d like to stay with it if it is compatible with the OS. But that is hardly a recommendation as it’s not available anymore. I’ll be back with some findings or lack there of.

Is anybody using any antivirus on WHS 2011? If so then what? I’m having a deja-vu moment, seems like I’ve been here before.

I think I’ve come to grips and decided to just keep it simple. I truly miss DE but I’m just going to cope with it, anything else makes me nervous.
I’d be willing to entertain a third party should one arise that simply alphabetized my collection and cut and pasted accordingly accross x amount of drives. This might be handy before house cleaning at least.
Btw: Guess what I’m doing right now? I’m cutting and pasting my movie collection in alphabetical order which I realize is a moot point but I couldn’t think of a better starting point.

I’m in the same boat. I’ve been transferring files for over a week and resorted to the same format…movies 1…movies 2…movies 3. It is laborous and time consuming and I’m looking forward to watching movies from my collection again…after I rebuild my libraries. I foresee consuming a few more days before being at the set it and forget stage, I’ve only managed to transfer files and haven’t even tweeked anything yet.
I do feel confident in the cut over to WHS 2011 all in all though.

I’m a boob! After recreating devices and activities I realized that there was also “customize buttons” per activity. I tried changing it in the device itself to no avail.

You’re brilliant! …and the software couldn’t make it any easier.
I’m still having a rough time getting the menu to behave no matter what remote I choose.
How many remote devices are there?
Media Center
Media center SE
MS-1039
MCE-1039
Keyboard 1044
Are all 5 different?

I’m using the “SE” device in my configuration and the menu button seems to default to my movie collection. I tried to customize it but always pulls up my movie collection.
Just when I thought it was tip top…
