I haven’t gotten brave enough to put my computer to sleep. I have enough trouble with failing recordings when the machine is on 24/7. So far I’m not impressed with cablecard, or tuning adapters. Ceton has been working with me to try and figure out what the problem is, so I’m still giving them the benefit of the doubt.

I just rebooted my computer to do some windows updates. When I rebooted, I checked the ceton diag utility and 1 adapter has 4 channels, while the second had 0. I removed the extra tuning adapter and all is working with 1 cisco tuning adapter. I’ll hang onto the extra one in case anything happens to the first one.

All my movies are in ISO format. Media center can play them no problem. However when using An Xbox as an extender the movies don’t play, they just give some vague video codec error. I understand you can re-encode to just the main movie portion of the DVD and it will work, but then you lose the additional features. I assume the same is true for Blue Ray, but haven’t tried it yet.
