After having to use my PS3 for a couple months after my HTPC’s mobo died I have to say it sucks as an HTPC replacement if you have a moderately large media collection.

600+ DVDs and over 19 TV series on my server and it’s kind of a pain to browse all that on the very simple interface of the PS3. Clearly it was meant to be used with a small selection of media, like from something like a thumb drive/portable HDD.

If you really need to use it google a program called PS3 Media Server. Very nice app for this; make sure your server system is decent enough since it will have to transcode everything to stream it to the PS3.

Hmmmm, That’s mighty tempting for the 620. Is the retail cooler included at that price? I might go for it if you’ve still got it at the end of the week.

Whoa! Nice, I might have to do this for a bedroom HTPC. 🙂

I’m running a 5450 (PCIe) off of a 150w pico PSU, it’s weird that you can’t do the same with your 160w PSU. Either way, you don’t really have many options, Dell’s older systems like that one use custom wired PSUs so you can’t upgrade them.

I would just get something else, something that will actually work.

I had no problems with mine when I was using the onboard video (8200) but I did when I tried to use CoreAVC. Removing CoreAVC and using just FFDShow I had no stuttering (Core looked terrible in comparison and had stuttering issues).

There’s a few things like this for Android but, they’ll pass on any texts or phone call notifications to your desktop. None for iOS though.

I actually think there’s too much white; it hurts my eyes a bit.

Maybe it’s just me but I really liked the old background color, especially when compared to the new white background…

I’ve been having issues with WHS recently too. It’s becoming a major PITA for me. From studdering (which goes away once I rewind a tad) to WHS just randomly shutting down a few times a day! It had been working fine for nealy a year and then I think one of the Win updates killed it or something. Oddly enough I think it doesn’t like WMC much cause if I close it on my HTPC it’ll run much smoother through out the day…

I really liked it (Scott Pilgrim) even though I adore the books. I plan on picking it up. 🙂

My Asus DX sound card could take EAX and output it over coax/spdif (unlike any Creative card). I think even the cheaper ones can do it too. Might want to look into that. I really liked the feature for older games (when I had the card, sold it a while back cause I needed some extra money. I plan on getting another soon though.)

The story was moving very slow. I was enjoying it, but goodness gracious, speed it up a little.

I don’t mind slow moving stories but after BSG Caprica was kind of a let down. I watched the first two episodes and just couldn’t get into it at all even though I wanted too.
