One of the only good things I heard come out of a salesman’s mouth was “Buy the speakers first, then buy the rest of your equipment. The last purchase you make should be the receiver.” It sounded strange for a second, but then I thought about the logic and it made perfect sense. Get a receiver that has the power to drive your speakers, the right number of channels, and the right type and number of inputs and outputs. You won’t know what you need until you buy everything else!
